Pentagon Seeks Data on Unfilled Senior Contracting Jobs at DOD

Pentagon leaders want to know how many of the Defense Department's senior contracting jobs are vacant or filled by individuals in an acting role, according to a recent memo from DOD's No 2 acquisition official to senior civilian and military leaders. The military services and defense agencies have until July 1 to return to James Finley's office a questionnaire describing their vacant senior contracting positions, plans to fill them, and long-term plans to groom qualified people for these jobs.
