Raytheon Spin-Off To Design Semiconductors for Wireless Industry

Raytheon announced today the launch of a venture capital-backed start-up company that will develop advanced semiconductors for the commercial wireless industry. El Segundo, CA-based TelASIC Communications Inc. will design integrated circuits for use in advanced wireless products, according to a company statement. The products, which are based on Raytheon's radio frequency (RF) technology, will "enable integrated system level solutions that substantially reduce customer costs," Raytheon said.
