Pumping Up the Herc: Lockheed Martin will begin installing stronger center wing boxes on its C-130Js, according to Jim Grant, the company's air mobility and special operations vice president. Midway through 2009, all Super Hercules aircraft coming off the Marietta, GA, production line will have the enhanced wing boxes, he said in an interview today. The new wing boxes were initially developed for the newly ordered HC/MC-130 tankers.
