Republicans Named To House Intel Committee

House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-OH) has named 10 Republicans -- half of whom will be first-time members -- to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Rep. Doug Bereuter (NE) was named by Hastert to replace Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA) as the committee's vice chairman. Rep. Porter Goss (FL) retains his committee chairmanship for the 107th Congress.
