Sen. Thune Introduces Next-Generation Bomber Bill

Sen. John Thune (R-SD) has introduced legislation that would require the Pentagon to continue funding the Air Force's recently halted next-generation bomber program. The senator -- a strong supporter of the bomber program -- introduced the measure on May 14 in response to Defense Secretary Robert Gates' decision to cancel the program in the Pentagon's fiscal year 2010 budget proposal.
