Senate defense bill calls for two AI pilot programs, bolsters c-UAS technologies

The Senate Armed Services Committee’s fiscal year 2025 defense authorization bill requires the Defense Department to establish two artificial intelligence pilot programs and implement a slew of requirements aimed at advancing technology used to counter uncrewed aircraft systems. The bill today supports $923 billion in national defense spending, $878 billion of which would fund DOD.
