Senate Democrats Urge Bush to Increase Army, Marine Corps End Strength

A group of 21 Senate Democrats is calling on President Bush to increase the numbers of active-duty soldiers and Marines serving in the military. In a letter sent today to the president, the lawmakers request a plan, with sufficient funding, for boosting Army and Marine Corps end strength in the fiscal year 2006 budget.
