Senate passes FY-26 defense policy bill without reauthorization of major info-sharing law

Prospects for a long-term reauthorization of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 took another hit on Oct. 9, with the passage of the Senate version of the fiscal year 2026 defense authorization bill without the addition of the now-lapsed cyber law as an amendment.
