Senators Attempt to Block JCA Measure in FY-08 Authorization Bill

Two Senate Democrats say they intend to offer an amendment to the fiscal year 2008 defense authorization bill aimed at maintaining the Army's participation in the Joint Cargo Aircraft program. Language in the chamber's original bill would eliminate the Army's participation in the JCA program by transferring authority and purchase power to the Air Force.
