Senators Urge Navy To Reconsider Plan To Zero Out MH-60R Buys In FY-16

The Senate Armed Services Committee, in its mark of the fiscal year 2015 defense authorization bill, is urging the Navy to reconsider its plan to stop procuring MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, according to the panel's report accompanying the bill . The Navy had planned to procure 29 aircraft in FY-15 and another 29 in FY-16 to maintain the minimum levels required by a joint Army-Navy contract with Sikorksy Aircraft for UH-60M Army Black Hawk and MH-60R and MH-60S Navy Seahawk aircraft...
