Shyu Confirmed By Senate For Top Army Acquisition Post

The Senate approved Heidi Shyu's nomination to the Army's top acquisition post during a late-night weekend session on Capitol Hill, according to a service spokesman. Shyu, who has been the Army's acting acquisition executive since May 2011, was confirmed at 1:47 a.m. on Sept. 22, service spokesman Matthew Bourke told InsideDefense.com today.
