Stewart & Stevenson Forms Team To Bid On Massive U.K. Support Vehicle Program

Stewart & Stevenson's TVS UK Ltd. subsidiary has teamed with three British companies to compete for the $2.2 billion U.K. Ministry of Defence Support Vehicle Programme, the company announced today. The contract covers a 30-year period and totals in excess of 8,200 military cargo, tanker and recovery support vehicles capable of "extraordinary" off-road mobility and capability, a company statement reads.
