Successes Pave Way For Key CEC Tests

The Navy announced today that a successful technical evaluation of its $3.5 billion Cooperative Engagement Capability system has put the program in good shape for operational evaluation testing due to start in April or May. CEC is designed to allow several ships to detect, track and destroy multiple targets by sharing the same data from ships, aircraft and land-based sensors.
