Thornberry Introduces Bill to Establish the National Homeland Security Agency

Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX) introduced legislation yesterday that would realign the federal government in a way that he says will better prepare the nation for threats against the homeland. The legislation, called the "National Homeland Security Act," would merge the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Coast Guard, the Customs Service and Border Patrol into a new entity called the National Homeland Security Agency (NHSA).
