Shares of TRW stock soared 26 percent on the New York Stock Exchange today, following the announcement of Northrop Grumman's proposal to merge the two companies. Northrop shares fell by more than 9 percent this morning, but recovered somewhat later on in the day. At the close of trading today, TRW shares were up $10.50 at $50.30 per share.
