United Defense CEO Pulls Out Of Aerospace Conference

NEW YORK -- United Defense Industries President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Rabaut today canceled a scheduled presentation at an aerospace and defense finance conference here. Organizers of the conference said Rabaut opted instead to meet with lawmakers and Pentagon officials in Washington, DC. The Pentagon last week killed UDI's Crusader field artillery system, saying it was a holdover from another era. Lawmakers in both houses of Congress have vowed to fight the decision to cancel Crusader, an $11 billion...
