U.S., Canada To Sign JSF Cooperation Agreement

The United States and Canada will sign an agreement tomorrow committing Canada to participate in the Joint Strike Fighter System development and demonstration phase, the Pentagon announced today. Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Pete Aldridge and his Canadian counterpart, Assistant Deputy Minister for Materiel Alan Williams, will sign a memorandum of understanding that would allow Canada to contribute between 1 and 2 percent of the total estimated cost of the SDD phase.
