U.S., Canadian Officials Sign MOA for Counter-IED Collaboration

U.S. and Canadian officials in Washington today approved a memorandum of agreement that formalizes the assignment of Canadian military personnel to the Defense Department's Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization. At a Canadian Embassy ceremony, retired Army Gen. Montgomery Meigs, who runs JIEDDO, and Canadian army Maj. Gen. Jan Arp, Ottawa's senior military attache in the United States, signed the document.
