U.S., Japan Discuss Counterterrorism, Missile Defense Policy

U.S. officials are meeting with their Japanese counterparts today in Washington to discuss the U.S.-led war on terrorism and missile defense policy, according to sources from both countries. The discussions are divided into two parts: First, participants will convene in the morning for a "Security Subcommittee" meeting, during which they will deliberate issues related to managing the U.S.-Japan defense alliance, U.S. defense officials say.
