Steel fabrication company Vigor Works was awarded a contract Sept. 28 for development of the Maneuver Support Vessel (Light), according to a Defense Department announcement. The Army intends to use the MSV(L) as a replacement for the Landing Craft Mechanized-8 to allow for quick delivery of troops and combat-configured equipment.
