White House Unveils Policy for Protecting U.S. Food Supply from Terrorists

The White House today unveiled a new homeland security presidential directive establishing a national policy for protecting the food system from terrorists and natural disasters. As part of that policy, the secretaries of agriculture, health and human services and homeland security will produce expanded vulnerability assessments for the country's food sector, HSPD-9 states.
