Young Creates New Panel to Assess Effectiveness of Prepositioned Stocks

Pentagon acquisition chief John Young last month created a new working group charged with assessing the effectiveness of the military's stocks of warfighting gear prepositioned worldwide in light of a new Pentagon strategic plan. Young, in a June 23 DOD instruction, tasked the new working group to "address joint issues concerning 'war reserve materiel.'"
