House lawmakers' letter on U.S. strategy in Afghanistan

In an Aug. 31, 2020 letter to Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and national security subcommittee Chairman Stephen Lynch (D-MA) call for testimony from each of their departments regarding the current U.S. strategy in Afghanistan.
