Updated DOD Memo On 'Use Of Excess Ballistic Missiles For Space Launch'

In a July 5, 2011, memo updated on Jan. 18, 2012, Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn "establishes DOD policy, assigns responsibilities, and outlines procedures for converting excess U.S. government ballistic missile assets to launch space payloads." The updated version extends the memo's expiration date from Jan. 9, 2012, to Nov. 9, 2012.
