Air Force Contracting Office Building More Visibility Into CLS Agreements

The Air Force is working to emphasize cost visibility in its contractor logistics support agreements in response to a fiscal year 2012 congressional directive. In the Fiscal Year 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, Congress called for greater contractor accountability and in June 2012, the Air Force comptroller directed cost-tracking efforts in CLS work, which involves maintenance and sustainment of a weapons system.
