Following a $4.9 million award from the Air Force Research Laboratory, Textron Systems became the latest industry partner to help define the requirements of the service's next-generation, flexible missile. The five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, awarded Oct. 28, will allow Textron to conduct research into the technology and the potential capabilities for the GBU-X flexible weapons program.
