Army awards $2 billion missile contract

Advanced Technology International has been selected to develop guided-missile technologies for the Army.

A $2 billion other transaction agreement was awarded to the company July 31, according to an Army notice published Aug. 2.

"The OTA will attract innovative new technologies and spur development of technology and prototypes, as well as advanced manufacturing techniques, which are critical to the [Defense Department's] near and long-term aviation and guided weapon systems goals," the notice stated.
