BAE hires Whitmore

BAE Systems' U.S. business said today it has named Al Whitmore president of the company's intelligence and security sector, effective Oct. 16.

Whitmore joins BAE from General Dynamics Information Technology, where he was senior vice president of the global solutions division. Before General Dynamics acquired GTE Government Systems in 1999, Whitmore spent about 15 years at GTE.
