Boeing said today Leanne Caret will take over the company's defense, space and security business unit starting March 1, succeeding Chris Chadwick.

Chadwick is set to retire after about two years of leading the unit and 34 years at Boeing, the contractor said.

Caret, who has been with Boeing for 28 years, heads the defense business' $9 billion global services and support division. She previously was chief financial officer for the defense business and, before that, general manager of its rotorcraft programs.

Ed Dolanski, Boeing said, will succeed Caret as president of global services and support. He currently leads Aviall, a Boeing subsidiary that provides new aviation parts and aftermarket supply-chain management services for the aerospace and defense industries.
