BWX Technologies said this week sales in its most recent quarter reached $419 million, up almost 11 percent from the same three-month period a year earlier.

The company's quarterly profit hit $46.7 million, up about 13 percent from the prior year.

BWXT saw the most significant sales growth in its nuclear power group, which acquired BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada.

CSRA said today its sales for the quarter hit nearly $1.3 billion, up about 1 percent from a year earlier. The company's quarterly profit reached $76 million, flat from the prior year.

Meanwhile, Vectrus said today its sales during the most recent quarter were $270 million, down from $284 million a year ago. The contractor recorded quarterly profit of $5.8 million, down from $6.6 million the prior year.

Vectrus attributed the sales decline to "lower activity from our Middle East programs of $14.1 million and our U.S programs of $2.9 million, partially offset by increases from our European programs of $2.3 million and from our Afghanistan programs of $0.5 million."
