Carlisle to be named National Defense Industrial Association CEO

The National Defense Industrial Association is set to name retired Air Force Gen. Herbert “Hawk” Carlisle its next chief executive, effective in June, according to an announcement obtained by Inside Defense.

Carlisle would succeed Craig McKinley, a retired Air Force general who has served as NDIA CEO since January 2015.

Carlisle most recently served as commander of Air Combat Command. He has also been commander of Pacific Air Forces and air component commander for U.S. Pacific Command.
