Commandant releases new Littoral Ops concept

Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Robert Neller today released a new warfighting concept to guide Navy and Marine Corps forces fighting in the littorals.

Called "Littoral Operations in a Contested Environment," the concept "describes the integrated application of Navy and Marine Corps capabilities to overcome emerging threats within littoral areas that are rapidly expanding in operational depth depth, complexity and lethality."
