CSBA hires Haynes

The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments said today it has hired Peter Haynes, formerly deputy director of strategy plans and policy (J-5) for strategy and concepts at U.S. Special Operations Command.

Haynes will join CSBA's "team of experts focused on the evolution of warfare and its implications for U.S. strategy and the Department of Defense budget," according to a center statement.

Haynes also previously worked as director of strategy and plans for the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.

Last year, he published a book called "Toward a New Maritime Strategy: American Naval Thinking in the Post-Cold War Era."
