The White House announced Friday evening President Trump intends to nominate Veronica Daigle to serve as assistant secretary of defense for readiness.
Daigle most recently was the principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for readiness. She has also served as senior adviser for national security at the Office of Management and Budget and director of the force and infrastructure analysis division in the Pentagon's cost assessment and program evaluation office.
Additionally, the White House said Trump intends to nominate Casey Wardynski to serve as assistant secretary of the Army for manpower and reserve affairs. Wardynski was chief executive of FISH Technologies and previously was superintendent of Huntsville City Schools. He spent over 30 years as an officer in the Army and served as director of the Army's Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis, the Trump administration said.
