A dozen defense associations are calling on congressional leaders to fund the government for the full 2018 fiscal year.

In a new letter sent to congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle, the chiefs of associations including the Aerospace Industries Association, the National Defense Industrial Association and the Association of the U.S. Army, among others, call on Congress to “act within a very short time frame.”

“We strongly urge the Congress to complete FY 2018 authorization and appropriations measures to ensure consistent and uninterrupted funding,” the letter says. “We are encouraged that members in both parties have signaled interest in working in a bipartisan manner to accomplish these actions.”
