The Defense Business Board is scheduled to meet Dec. 6 to discuss the cost of the Pentagon's workforce, according to a Federal Register notice.
The board, which leverages private sector perspectives and practices to advise the defense secretary on management issues, will meet to receive findings and recommendations from a task force on its study of the "fully burdened and life cycle cost of the workforce," the notice states.
The board produced a report in August urging the Pentagon to embrace automated business operations to better manage its massive workforce.
