Deloitte: Defense Workforce Down

A new Deloitte study found that the U.S. defense industry has shed nearly 168,000 jobs since 2010.

Tom Captain, leader of Deloitte's global aerospace and defense sector, told InsideDefense.com that he expects the workforce reductions to bottom out.

The U.S. defense industry saw sales decline 2.2 percent in 2014, according to a summary of the study provided to InsideDefense.com.

The full study will be released at next week's Paris Air Show.
