Harker sworn in as Navy comptroller

Thomas Harker was sworn in today as assistant secretary of the Navy for financial management and comptroller, according to a tweet from Navy Secretary Richard Spencer.

Harker previously served as associate deputy assistant secretary of financial policy for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He retired from active duty as a Coast Guard commander in 2012.
