Speaking after attending a White House meeting with business leaders, Lockheed Martin's chief executive said President Trump is ready to take "quick action" on regulatory reform.

According to a CNBC clip, Marillyn Hewson said she's participating in the regulatory reform working group and called the meeting "encouraging."

"As we think about regulatory reform, it's not just about our size businesses, but the small and medium-sized businesses are most impacted by the burdensome regulations they have to face," she said. "It's very important that we reduce regulations, that we eliminate those that are burdensome, that are unnecessary."

"We had a good discussion about that," Hewson continued. "The president listened intently. He is ready to take some quick action, particularly on some executive orders that are burdensome and are not adding value, but moreover on a broader sense of how do we streamline the process of regulatory requirements."

Trump last month signed an executive order requiring that every new regulation issued result in at least two prior ones being identified for elimination. Industry groups have praised the effort to cut regulations.
