1. The Air Force is examining the appropriate mix of fighter aircraft to inform the F-16 radar modernization plan in preparation for the fiscal year 2018 budget request submission, according to a recent report signed by Pentagon acquisition chief Frank Kendall.

2. House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry (R-TX) is frustrated that the Pentagon's effort to elevate U.S. Cyber Command to its own unified command has taken so long.
