Lockheed sets closing date for Sikorsky deal

Lockheed Martin said today it has received the final regulatory approval it needs to close its purchase of Sikorsky from United Technologies Corp.

"The completion of the regulatory review by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China marks the end of a successful and comprehensive regulatory review process in eight jurisdictions," the company said.

Lockheed said it is now set to close the deal on Friday.
