ManTech International and NCI today both reported sales and profit growth in their most recent quarters.

ManTech said sales in the three-month period ended March 31 reached $390.7 million, up from $370.3 million in the same period the prior year. Quarterly profit hit $13.2 million, up about 12 percent from a year earlier.

NCI reported its sales hit $83.7 million during the quarter, up from just shy of $81 million in the same three-month period in 2015. The contractor announced profit of $3.3 million, up nearly 39 percent from the prior year.

"This increase was principally due to higher revenues derived under the expanded PEO Soldier program and other new awards," NCI said of its bolstered sales. "The increase was partially offset by completed contracts and reductions in staffing and scope of work on certain contracts."

NCI said its PEO Soldier program made up nearly 16 percent of its total sales in the quarter, while its Cyber Network Operations and Security Support program, supporting Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, made up 10 percent of its revenue.
