McMaster named national security adviser

President Trump today named Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster national security adviser, following the resignation of Michael Flynn last week.

According to a pool report, Keith Kellogg, who had served as the acting NSA, will be chief of staff of the National Security Council.

"He's a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience," Trump said of McMaster, according to the pool report. "He is highly respected by everyone in the military, and we're very honored to have him."
