MITRE promotes Scherer

Lori Scherer will serve as vice president of the intelligence portfolios within the MITRE Corp.'s federally funded research and development center operated on behalf of the Defense Department, the company announced this week.

She has spent more than 25 years at MITRE and most recently served as deputy director for the intelligence portfolios, according to MITRE.

MITRE's FFRDC on behalf of the Pentagon is known as the National Security Engineering Center.
