New DBB Members

The Pentagon this week announced eight new members to the Defense Business Board, which provides senior Defense Department officials with advice about best business practices.

The new appointees are Sandy Apgar, former Army assistant secretary for installations and environment; Robert Holland, former chief executive of Ben & Jerry's; Jerry Hultin, president emeritus of Polytechnic Institute of New York University; William Swanson, former CEO of Raytheon; Lon Levin, cofounder of XM Satellite Radio; John O'Connor, chairman of J.H. Whitney Investment Management; Arnold Punaro, former executive vice president at Science Applications International Corp.; and Atul Vashistha, founder and chairman of Neo Group.

They join 18 other members. The DBB is set to next meet on July 23.
