Maj. Gen. Paul Ostrowski on April 4 assumed the role of military deputy to the Army acquisition executive. The role previously was held by Lt. Gen. Michael Williamson, who is retiring.

The Senate on March 27 confirmed Ostrowski’s nomination to the rank of lieutenant general. The Senate Armed Services Committee received his nomination March 9.

Ostrowski's previous role was as deputy commanding general for support, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan.

Prior to that assignment, he served as deputy for acquisition and systems management in the office of the Army acquisition executive.

Steffanie Easter, a career civilian official, has been performing the duties of the Army acquisition executive since November, following the retirement of acting acquisition executive Katrina McFarland.
