Science Applications International Corp. said today it will move its corporate headquarters from McLean, VA, to Reston, VA, effective July 1.

The new headquarters will be in leased space in the building previously occupied by Scitor. SAIC acquired Scitor in 2015.

SAIC sold off its large campus in McLean in 2013, as it prepared to split into two pieces: SAIC and Leidos, which is headquartered in Reston. Since the sale, SAIC has been leasing back space in McLean.

The relocation to Reston is part of "an effort to increase efficiencies and consolidate SAIC's office leases in the National Capital Region," the company said today.

Additionally, SAIC announced it has named Nazzic Keene chief operating officer, effective immediately. Keene will also continue to lead the company's global markets and missions sector.

As COO, she will oversee the services and solutions sector as well as communications, contracts and pricing, information technology and procurement.

Keene joined SAIC in 2012 as senior vice president for corporate strategy and planning. She previously worked at CGI Group.
