Senate confirms three new DOD officials

The Senate unanimously confirmed three new senior Pentagon officials today.

David Norquist was confirmed as Pentagon comptroller, Kari Bingen as principal deputy under secretary of defense for intelligence and Robert Karem as assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs.

Norquist was most recently a partner at accounting firm Kearney and Co., Bingen was previously the policy director for the House Armed Services Committee and Karem was previously a Middle East policy adviser to former Vice President Dick Cheney.
