The week ahead

The presidential election and its results are expected to drive the defense discussion this entire week, as well as the outcome of several key contested congressional races.

Tuesday

Election Day.

Orbital ATK is slated to hold a call to discuss matters related to the third quarter of 2016.

The Atlantic Council hosts an event on corporate-venture investing in aerospace and defense, featuring executives from Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Northrop Grumman and Thales USA.

Wednesday

 Oshkosh will participate in Baird's 2016 Industrial conference.

Gen. David Perkins, chief of Army Training and Doctrine Command, speaks at a breakfast hosted by the Association of the United States Army.

Brig. Gen. Dennis Crall, the Marine Corps' chief information officer, will speak at a luncheon hosted by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.

Thursday

 Rockwell Collins's chief executive will speak at Baird's 2016 Industrial conference.
