In a Feb. 28, 2012, letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) presented Panetta with "16 audit reports that uncovered egregious waste and misconduct at the Department of Defense and called for accountability and the recovery of wasted money."
